Student Announcements for Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008

Announcements for Parents:

Students should arrive at Mickle by 7:50 a.m. to give them time to put their belongings in their lockers and arrive at their 8:00 a.m. class on time. Students may not arrive on campus prior to 7:30 a.m. when adults are available for supervision. Having this arrival time is for the safety of your child. The outside supervisors help ensure your childs welfare on campus. The times are coordinated with Sampson≠s Construction to minimize construction activity during arrival times. Students who arrive early will be directed to the P7 classroom where supervision is available.

There will be no homework clubs on Thursday, Jan. 10, due to teachers inservice.

Announcements for Students:

This is the last full week of classes for semester one. Students are expected to get any final or late/missing assignments turned into their teachers before the end of the day on Friday.

Good luck to everyone on any coming tests/quizzes/CRT≠s that may be coming this week. Please remember to review your class notes and get plenty of rest at night so you can do as well as possible.

The concert for the All-School Choir is Thursday, Jan. 10, at 7:00 p.m. in the gym.

Second semester student schedules for 6th and 7th graders will be handed out during period 1 classes on Tuesday, Jan 15th. 8th graders are to pick up their schedules in the gym area after the 730am bell on that same Tuesday, Jan 15th.

"The 1st Mickle Spelling Bee will be held Thursday, January 31. Prizes include $ 50 for 1st place and an online subscription to Encyclopedia Britannica. There will be treats and prizes for all participants. So join the fun by picking up your entry form and word study list from Mrs. Vanneman."

The drawing for the winners of the Pet Show will be in the media center Wednesday right after school. 1 winner will be drawn for each grade. Winners do not need to be present to win. See you Wednesday. Thanks! Mrs. Vanneman

The Yellow VIP Passes have to be used before the end of the semester. Starting January 15th the yellow passes will no longer be accepted.

Friday is Mickle Pride Day! Show your spirit by wearing your Mickle Gear. This includes Mickle shirts or Mickle pride shirts or sweatshirts. Go Missles!!

INTRAMURALS 7th grade girls basketball: Numbers 1-17 report for tryouts Tuesday and Thursday. Numbers 18-34 report for tryouts on Wednesday and Friday.

8th grade girls basketball: Numbers 1-17 report for tryouts Tuesday and Thursday. Numbers 18-33 report for tryouts on Wednesday and Friday.

On Tuesday, Jan. 15th, all girls report for team announcements and teams B & C will stay and practice.

Breakfast Menu for Wednesday: Buttermilk Pancakes, Whole Grain Toast, Juice or Milk

Lunch Menu for Tuesday: Mucho Nacho, BBQ Chicken Sandwich, Hot Ham & Cheese Sandwich and fresh salads made daily here at Mickle.
