Announcements for Parents:
Drop-Offs: Eighth Grade drop-off is along North 67th Street by the gyms; seventh grade drop-off is at first cut-out heading west along Walker Avenue driving from 70th toward 67th street; sixth grade drop-off is in the cut-out on Walker avenue closest to North 67th Street. Please be patient with students, supervisors, and each other. With construction, maneuvering around campus is more confusing.
There will be no homework clubs today due to teacher inservice meetings.
Announcements for Students:
This is the last full week of classes for semester one. Students are expected to get any final or late/missing assignments turned into their teachers before the end of the day on Friday.
Locker Clean Out will be on Wednesday, January 16, take your extra coats home and turn in any library books that may be in your locker.
Congratulations Joslyn W., Linday P., Sabrina W., and Mrs. Euler winners of the 6th Annual Mickle Media Pet Show! Mrs. Vanneman will contact you soon about having your picture taken for your READ posters.
8th graders if you have not turned in your high school plan form (green paper handed out in Basic Studies class) please trun it into Mrs Davis ASAP. If you didn't receive one please see Mrs Davis ASAP.
Don't forget to get your yearbook ordered. Tues and Thurs mornings in P3. Still $20.
Second semester student schedules for 6th and 7th graders will be handed out during period 1 classes on Tuesday, Jan 15th. 8th graders are to pick up their schedules in the gym area after the 730am bell on that same Tuesday, Jan 15th.
Special Art Club Opportunity- Friday the 11th and Friday the 18th from 3 pm to 5pm to work with a guest artist Karen Kunc printmaker and Prof. of Art at UNL. Class size is limited. Must sign up by Thurs. For more information see Mrs Gabelhouse.
"The 1st Mickle Spelling Bee will be held Thursday, January 31. Prizes include $50 for 1st place and an online subscription to Encyclopedia Britannica. There will be treats and prizes for all participants. So join the fun by picking up your entry form and word study list from Mrs. Vanneman."
Read the new mini comics and much more in the latest 2nd quarter issue of the Zig Zag Zine! Get your copy in the media center, 25 cents for a color copy and 10 cents for black and white.
Friday is Mickle Pride Day! Show your spirit by wearing your Mickle Gear. This includes Mickle shirts or Mickle pride shirts or sweatshirts. Go Missles!!

INTRAMURALS
7th grade girls basketball: Numbers 1-17 report for tryouts on Thursday. Numbers 18-34 report for tryouts on Friday.
8th grade girls basketball: Numbers 1-17 report for tryouts on Thursday. Numbers 18-33 report for tryouts on Friday.
On Tuesday, Jan. 15th, all girls report for team announcements and teams B & C will stay and practice.

Lunch Menu for today: Creamed Turkey, BBQ Riblette Sandwich, Southwest Pizza and fresh salads made daily here at Mickle.
