Student Announcements for Monday, April 28, 2008

Announcements for Parents:

As an additional reminder, next Tuesday, April 29th, will be an early dismissal date for LPS students in order for teachers to meet with their professional learning community planning teams. Students in all LPS middle schools will be dismissed at 1:38pm and should be picked up or off campus by 1:55pm. There will also be no homework club so please make other arrangements for your students. Thank you

As a family notice, students at Mickle were given grade progress reports to be delivered to homes. Teachers will also be placing stickers inside of your student's planner asking for a quick signature to verify that grade reports were responsibly delivered to homes. If families have questions about the updated grades, please contact your student's teacher via email or by calling the school phone number of 436-1216.

As the weather is turning warmer, we know that student clothing choices also begins to change. Midriff shirts and spaghetti straps shirts are out, as well as, loose athletic jersey tank tops for boys will not be allowed unless worn over a shirt with wide straps or over another t-shirt. Teachers will work with students when a concern exists by handing them a pink colored pass to help fix the concern.

April is Cans for Books month. Bring a grocery sack full of popcans to the media center and have a chance to win a beautiful poster! Ask in the media center for details.

INTRAMURALS

Mickle Track Schedule for the Season 7th grade report Monday and Thursday, 8th grade report Tuesday and Wednesday, Friday - All report Practice will end around 4:30 and you must be off campus at that time.

Breakfast Menu for Tuesday: Breakfast Bites, Cold Cereal, Whole Grain Toast, Juice or Milk.

Lunch Menu for today: Chicken Nuggets w/Roll, Taco Hot Pocket, French Bread Garlic Pizza and fresh salads made daily here at Mickle.
