Drop Off Plan By Grade

Following LPS spring break on Monday, March 31st, our renovated 8th grade East Wing will open, as well as, the new gym and fitness room. With the changes, work will begin in our upper 6th grade hallway. This transition creates the need to change the classroom locations for all our 6th and 8th graders.

Because of these changes, we will need to make an adjustment in the morning drop off plans for ALL students. Your cooperation in following the changes below will continue to ensure the safest travel for students to their classes at the beginning of the day.

When students return to school on March 31, the entrance doors for students will be adjusted as follows:
6th graders beginning March 31, should be dropped off on the west side of the building by the gyms and will enter through the west gym doors.
7th graders beginning March 31, should be dropped off at the Walker Ave cutouts and will enter through the main front doors.
8th graders beginning March 31, should be dropped off at the Walker Ave cutout by the portables and will enter by the east portables.

We appreciate all who have cooperated in following the traffic patterns during morning drop offs. We know that the pattern is NOT the fastest for adults, but is the safest way to ensure that all students are dropped off on the school sidewalks away from traffic.
