Education Talent Search from UNL serves eligible young people who are low-income, first-generation students in grades 6th through 12th. In addition to counseling, participants receive information about college admissions requirements, scholarships, and various student financial aid programs. If you wish to meet and talk with one of the Education Specialist they will be at Mickle on Tuesdays and Wednesday, in room #106 after school until 4:00pm.
Free Community Awareness Series: Promoting Healthy Behaviors
Tuesday, Feb 27, Southwest High School Auditorium, 6:30pm
Sue Anderson from Voices of Hope will be presenting about essential elements of a healthy relationship. Her presentation will provide education, tools and resources as to how to best guide our children and adolescents in healthy and safe relationship development.
8th Graders Attending Washington DC Trip:
There will be a mandatory meeting for all Washington DC students on Monday, February 26th. This meeting will be held in the cafeteria at Mickle at 6 pm. We will cover all the trip details in this meeting and will be sending important information home with families. If you are unable to make it the meeting, please contact Mrs. Mueller or Ms. Feeken as soon as possible.
