From May 25th – August 6th, Mickle students will have the opportunity to help take care of the Mickle Garden. Mickle Staff host work days on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 – 10 am all summer. Students will learn how to care for our school garden, help plant and weed, and complete general summer maintenance. Students that are interested need to fill out a permission slip and return it to Mrs. Hammond in 115 or the office, as well as sign up on the YMCA’s website. More information is provided on the permission slip and this program is free to all students. Incoming 5th grade students through current 8th graders are welcome. If interested, please have your student pick up a permission slip from the office, Mrs Hammond (Room 115), Ms. Height (Room 209) or Mr. Lloyd (Room 102). 8th Grade Families,
If your student is interested in detasseling this summer we have received information from Ailes Detasseling about summer opportunities. Please contact the Counseling Center for an information sheet. The application is online and paper copies will not be available.
End-of-year Chromebook Check-in Procedures – Students will return their Chromebooks on Wednesday, May 19 and receive the same device when they return next fall. As the end of the year draws closer, please make sure your student can locate the charger (2 pieces), the bag/carrying case, and the Chromebook that was issued to them at the beginning of the year. More details will be shared with students and families through communications in the coming days.
Remote Learners will turn in Chromebooks on Friday, May 21 and work through the media center between 8am and 330pm.
CLC update: This week will be the last full week of CLC programming. The last day for clubs and full-program will be Friday, May 14.
