*Tuesday, March 28 is a PLC day. Students will be released at 1:40p and should be off campus no later than 1:55p. Just a reminder…There are no clubs or intramurals offered on PLC days.
Attention 8th Graders…
The Northeast Student Council is currently looking for enthusiastic, inclusive, positive leaders for the 2023-2024 school year.
The Northeast Student Council has made significant efforts towards their goal of becoming a more active, inclusive, and welcoming space for students of all backgrounds and experiences; our hope is to encourage all students to continue building their leadership skills, and using their voice to advocate for positive change and influence. I am truly humbled to have the opportunity to work with so many amazing humans, and I’m hoping to meet even more of the fabulous youth your school has cultivated.
Applications will be going live tomorrow ,and will be due no later than midnight on Friday, April 14, 2023. Here is the LINK we will share via jumpcode GCON.
BackPack Extra Mile Walk
This year’s annual BackPack Extra Mile Walk will be held the morning of Saturday, April 22nd, at East High School. For over a decade, the LPS BackPack Extra Mile Walk has eased hunger in our community. Funds raised from the event directly support Child Hunger Programs at the Food Bank of Lincoln, providing LPS students and families with weekly and monthly access to nutritious food options through the BackPack Program and School Food Markets.
Mickle is supporting the Food Bank BackPack Program with a spare change collection in classrooms and a Mickle vs. LNE staff basketball game fundraiser. Please return the attached form to Krista Hight (Room 209) by Tuesday March 21 if you’d like to order a ExtraMile BackPack Walk T-shirt.
