Homework Club runs daily until 4:00. Students who check out before 4:00 are expected to leave immediately with a ride home or by walking home. Students are always allowed to call home when they are ready to leave Homework Club. Parents are encouraged to check the sticker in their students planner that will tell what time their student left Homework Club.

Mickle’s Planner Word of the Week: Perseverance: Schedule time each week to take small steps toward your big goals. Before you know it, you’ll see progress!
Mickle All-School Choir singers will rehearse “Santa Spectacular” songs in the Choir Room 142 on Thursday morning, December 15th at 7:15 am. This is our ONLY rehearsal before our concert, so it is very important that every BE THERE! There will be NO REHEARSAL after school on Thursday, December 15th. Our concert is Thursday evening, December 15th at 7 pm at Legacy Terrace Retirement Home at 57th & Fremont.
Tomorrow’s newspaper club meeting will be for EDITORS only. We are hoping to have a newspaper published and ready for next week!
Time is running out to purchase yearbooks for $18. Price will increase to $20 beginning 3rd quarter. See Mrs. Searls in 125 before school on Tuesday to order yours.
Students wanting to participate in the Mickle Geography Bee should meet in the Media Center after school on Thursday, Dec. 15.
Do you like to talk, or argue, or act? Then the Speech, Debate, Creative Drama Intramural program is for you! The Informational meeting will be January 11th for those who want more information on the program. Sessions then begin on Jan. 14. These will be held at Southeast High School. Check in the office or with your English Teacher for more information. All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students are welcome, regardless of skill level. If you plan to participate or are just interested, please turn in the registration form in the brochure to your English teacher or the office.
All Mickle 7th Grade students are invited to participate in the Lincoln Public Schools 7th Grade Choral Festival that will be held on Thursday, February 9th at Culler Middle School. Seventh grade students representing each of Lincoln Public Schools middle schools will make up the choir. This is a great chance for you to be part of a first class group of singers! If you want to be part of this unique experience and can commit your time to rehearsals and the performance on the evenng of February 9th, please contact Mrs. Johnson (Room 142) for more information by Thursday, December 22nd.
Do you like Parties? Do you want something to do on a Friday Night? The Belmont Recreation Center (Teen Treks) is having a Winter Party Friday, December 16th at 7p.m. There will be gym time, game room tournament and snacks. Bring money for a drink. Pick up no later than 9:15.
