Attention 6th grade families: 6th grade students recently took a survey through Career Cruising (a district supported program that offers self-exploration and planning tools to engage students in the process of building their future). The survey’s purpose is to match their current interests with careers. We also discussed the fact that 65% of the jobs of the future don’t yet exist. I encourage you to talk with your student about their results. Sometimes instead of asking students “what they want to be when they grow up” we should be asking them what problems they want to solve, and how they plan to solve them. ~Mrs. Hanseling, 6th grade School Counselor

Are you interested in purchasing Mickle gear?  Often students, families or staff ask how they can purchase Mickle clothing items.  You can purchase items online as a part of a Mickle PTSO fundraising activity. The ordering window closes May 13th. A small percentage of each sale will go to the Mickle PTSO to benefit students.  You can view and order items at this location: https://mickle18.itemorder.com/

It is that time of year! KFOR punch cards are for sale in the office. They are $5.00 each and all of the money made from the punch cards will go to the PTSO.  These are only available until the last day of school.

Attention 8th Grade Parents: if you would like to donate money (Checks made payable to the Mickle PTSO) or gift cards for the end of the year 8th grade party, please drop off your donations to the Mickle office in a clearly marked envelope, 8th grade party and Attention: Carie Bruss.

If you are interested in helping out with the 8th grade party, we still need ALL the help we can get. Please go to the volunteer sign up page at www.signupgenius.com. Click on the search icon in the top right corner and enter the following email address (cariebruss@gmail.com) under, “Search for Sign Up”, you will then be directed to the 8th grade party volunteer sign up.
