Message From The Principal
We are looking forward to seeing families at parent/teacher conferences this Thursday, September 25.  Our school will be open for in-person conferences from 4:30 to 6:30 this afternoon.  Teachers will be making specific outreach phone calls to families from 3:30-4:30 prior to the in-person conferences.  Grade level core subject area teachers (math, English, humanities, science and social studies) will be in their classrooms.  Elective and academic connection teachers will be in the cafeteria.  If this date does not work for your family, the following Tuesday will also present an opportunity to visit teachers.  On this day, our building will be open for in-person conferences from 3:30-5:30pm.  Teachers will make targeted outreach calls to any families they may have missed that they are hoping to speak with from 5:30-6:30pm on this day.

Parent Teacher Conferences this week
Parent/Teacher Conferences to be held on Thursday, September 25 and Tuesday, September 30.  The schedule for conferences will be as follows:
Thursday, September 25:
3:30-4:30 Phone & Zoom Conferences Only
4:30-6:30 In-Person Conferences (no need to schedule, just drop in.)
Tuesday, September 30:
3:30-5:30 In-Person Conferences (no need to schedule, just drop in.)
5:30-6:30 Phone & Zoom Conferences Only

Deaf Awareness Week
Did you know that Deaf Awareness Week is September 22nd through the 28th? This is a time to celebrate Deaf culture and learn more about the contributions of people who are Deaf and hard-of-hearing. It’s also a great opportunity to explore American Sign Language. One of the most important things we can do is learn to be more inclusive. This means making sure everyone feels welcome and included, whether they use their voice to speak or their hands to sign. This week is all about recognizing the Deaf community and promoting a better understanding of what it means to be Deaf. It’s a chance to build a more inclusive and compassionate school for everyone.
Chromebook Assurance
Did you know? Chromebook Assurance Program covers your student’s device for up to the replacement cost of a Chromebook. The CAP window closes at the end of September. Find out more at lps.org/go/cap. Payments can be made on ParentVue or by bringing payment to the school office.
 
7th Grade Families
October 15, 2025 is the deadline for students to have received a TDaP booster (vaccination).  Medical provider documentation of TDaP and a seventh grade physical must be provided to the Health Office.  Please submit documentation if you have not done so.  Please call the Health Office if your student has an appointment for their TDap and physical to avoid exclusion from school.
Yearbooks
Yearbooks are for sale! They can be purchased for $25 on Synergy Student Fees with a credit or debit card. Mrs. Binkley in Room 202 can also collect cash or checks.
