Message From The Principal

Happy November! 

The coming week will provide families two opportunities to collaborate with staff here at Mickle. First, our monthly PTSO meeting will be held on Monday, November 3 from 6-7 PM in the media center. The meeting will be followed by the Mickle staff and parent book club.

Additionally we are having a fall festival on Friday, November 7. Students will have the opportunity to attend a school dance, watch a movie, or participate in games as part of this event. The PTSO is still looking for volunteers to assist with various tasks to make this a positive and successful experience for our students.  If interested, you can sign up here.

Hey 6th Grade Families!

Over the last few weeks, we’ve been learning a lot in our classes about how to show respect, how to have self-control, and how to accept consequences when you make a mistake. That’s a huge part of being in 6th grade!

Teachers are noticing that many of our students need a little practice following our school’s three big rules:

• Be Safe
• Be Respectful
• Be Responsible

We need your help! To make sure everyone can learn their best, please remind your students to:

• Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
• Use kind words (no put-downs or hurtful language).
• Follow your teacher’s directions the first time they ask.

When we follow these simple steps, we make learning easier and more fun for everyone, and get to stay right here in class!

Message From The Health Office

Reminder: School Screening Continues!

Health Offices are continuing to complete screening for vision, hearing, dental health and height/weight.

Parents/guardians are notified of the screening result if the student is found to need further evaluation, as determined by a qualified screener and comparison of individual data with an objective standard. The cost of such evaluation shall be borne by the parent or guardian of the student.

International Baccalaureate (IB) Day at LHS

There will be an informational meeting regarding the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Lincoln High School on Saturday, November 8th from 8am-12pm.  Register by using the jump code: B1CL.  Complete the application using the jump code: BEM5.

Mickle PTSO

The next PTSO meeting will be on November 3rd in the Mickle Library at 6:00 pm.  The guest speaker will be Officer Cameron Cleland who is the Mickle School Resource Officer (SRO).  He will be speaking about what he does at Mickle and how LPD and LPS collaborate together.  We will also be discussing the fall dance, filling treat bags and book club will follow (chapters 1-3).

PTSO is seeking volunteers to lend a helping hand with the school dance Friday Nov 7th 5-6:30 pm. All food and party favors donations need to be dropped off at school by Monday,Nov 3rd. PTSO will be putting together 700 bags at the next meeting. Join us if you’d like to help.  Please sign up at this link to volunteer at the dance.

The next dine out is Nov 5th, all day at Papa Johns.

Craft Fair – Saturday, Nov. 22nd – 10-2:30pm at Mickle
