Intramural Drama, Speech and Debate is accepting registrations for all interested 6th, 7th and 8th grader students. A family information session will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Southeast High School in the auditorium.  Please see the main office or your English teacher for more information or to pick up a registration form.  Online registration is also available.

 

 

The LPS Oral Spelling Bee will be Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Culler Middle School. The Spelling Bee is open to students in grades 5-8. More information is available in the main office or from your English teacher.  Online registration is also available.

Today, December 18  is a PLC day. Students will be released at 1:40p and should be off campus no later than 1:55p. Just a reminder….There are no clubs or intramurals offered on PLC days.

*The 7th/8th grade & All School vocal music concert will be tonight, December 17, at 7:00 pm in the auditorium. Students wishing to sit in the audience and watch should be accompanied by an adult.

*Thank you to everyone who donated to the Be The Good goods drive.  We received many items that will help people in our community at the People’s City Mission and Heroes into Homes.  Thank you for “being the good!”

 

*Help spread school spirit and holiday fun all at once by participating in the first annual Teddy Bear Toss!  Attend the Lincoln Northeast vs Lincoln High Varsity Boys basketball game TONIGHT at 7:30 at LNE.  Bring a brand new teddy bear or stuffed animal to the game (no toys with button eyes, please).  After the Star Strutters’ halftime performance, spectators will toss all teddy bears and stuffed animals onto the gym floor.  These donations will be gathered and donated to the People’s City Mission. There are no admission discounts for bringing a teddy bear to the game.  Please email the Star Strutter Coach Erin Pauley at epauley@lps.org for more information.

The 7th grade team is sponsoring “Be The Good” goods drive.  Please bring non-food items to donate to Mickle between December 5 to December 12.  We are looking for items to donate to Heroes into Homes (an organization that helps homeless veterans with housing) and the People’s City Mission to help stock their supply closets with items such as toilet paper, shampoo, underwear, and other non-food items that may help families who are struggling to make ends meet.  Items to be donated can be taken to your student’s 1st period teacher’s class or dropped off before school to Mrs. Miller’s room (221).
