*PTSO Meeting – The second PTSO meeting of the school year will be on Thursday, October 17th at 6:00 pm in the Mickle library.
*Mickle Parent/Staff Book Club: Immediately following the PTSO meeting, which will be held on Thursday, October 17th at 6:00 PM in the Mickle library, Mickle will host its first book club meeting for staff and parents. We will be reading and discussing “Middle School Matters” by Phyllis Fagell. This book focuses on ten key skills kids need to thrive in middle school and beyond – and how parents can help. Books will be provided and our first meeting will be very brief. Our goal is to discuss readings at the tail end of PTSO meetings each month. We hope to see you there.
*There will be a Virtual Information Session with information about The Career Academy on Thursday, October 17th at 5 pm. If you are interested in attending, please contact Joshua Jones at jjones7@lps.org for a zoom link.
There will be an in-person information night with information about Bryan College of Health Sciences on Thursday, October 17th from 5:30-6:30 pm at Northwest High School. Contact Katherine Karcher – katherine.karcher@bryanhealth.org with any questions.
